SINEGETHE TRUST is one of the social service Organizations which has been working for the rural poor for the past 23 years. It came in to force in June 1994. This was fired by the zeal to create a complete society by raising up the standard of down-trodden in economic and social sectors. It pays special attention to uplifting the weaker sections of the society, namely, women and children.
With that view in mind, it has implemented several projects for the benefit of the rural poor: especially poor women, widows, orphans, young widow, children and differently – abled persons, SC/ST and minority sector. Mother Teresa has been the indelible inspiration for this noble venture towards social and economic upliftment. Its area operation is confined to Tiruvannamalai district and its surrounding villages.
In the short span of its existence of first 3 years, although very much of limited resources, of funds, using small available local funds and voluntary self – sacrifice on the part of its members and staff, it was able to achieve the following:
- 12 Health camps programmes were conducted for 50 adolescent girls from 8 villages.
- Reproductive health campaign was conducted for 95 women from 12 villages.
- Water conservation programmes for 5 months each 25 programmes.

- Aids awareness camp for 2 months each 14 programmes.
- In SHG formation, 25 SHGs were formed up.
